Resilience isn’t just about bouncing back; it is about using the tragedies to create something even greater.
It requires critical awareness of the feelings and thoughts you are having when you are triggered.
It requires seeing the limiting beliefs that are present in the moment that have been around for many years. What are those limiting beliefs waiting to be activated, turned on or be plugged into? You invented these beliefs many, many years ago.
Resilience requires being curious. Curiosity allows new possibilities to enter your life. You will think different thoughts, and have increased clarity. Be curious as if you are an alien that has just landed in the middle of your life. Have childlike wonder at the interesting events, feelings and thoughts that are in your mind and life.
Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom. – Viktor E. Frankl
Before your knee-jerk response to an event, see if you can slow time down and be Curious.
